Comcast has spent an estimated $2.5 billion on TV advertising in the first three months of 2018, a big increase from $1.6 billion the previous year, the company announced Monday.
The company’s TV advertising spending has surpassed all other major pay TV companies and is the largest of any pay TV company in the country, according to comcast.comcast.
The company said it plans to spend another $2 billion in the coming months.
Comcast said it will spend $1 billion on commercials for its upcoming “All Access” TV service in 2019, a move it said would help reach the most customers and increase its exposure to advertisers.
Comcast also announced Monday that it is going to start buying ads in its own TV network in 2019.
