AutoZone’s Southern Commercial Sales are booming September 9, 2021 September 9, 2021 admin

Southern Commercial sales are booming, according to AutoZone President and CEO, James Schmitt.

The auto parts and automotive retail giant expects sales to be up more than 50 percent for the fiscal first quarter.

AutoZone is expanding its Southern Commercial office in Birmingham, Ala., and expects that to expand to about 300 employees, Schmitt said in an interview with The Post.

The company is expanding to more locations in Alabama and Mississippi, including in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and has invested in the Huntsville, Ala.-based manufacturing operations.

Schmitt said the company is not investing in any new manufacturing facilities.

He said he expects the company will continue to focus on growing its Southern commercial sales.

Schimpson said that the company has experienced a surge in business, particularly with new car buyers in the U.S. and overseas, adding that it has been very successful in that market.

Schmidt said the demand for Southern Commercial products is not limited to the automotive industry.

The company is also offering automotive parts, including brake pads and steering wheels.

He added that the auto parts company is looking for the right location to expand its Southern sales.
